Lent Appeal raises £299 for The Children's Society

The "Hands Up!" stickers on our "seating plan" of the House of CommonsA huge thank you to members of St Andrew's who donated to our Lent campaign - £299 was raised and with donations still coming in, we hope to comfortably break the £300 barrier!

The money will go towards the "Children At The Table" campaign from The Children's Society and other leading children's charities, which calls for the next government to prioritise children's health and happiness, to invest more in early intervention and ensure children’s voices are heard at the heart of government.

Children's Society Ambassador for Ely Diocese, Rob Needle, said: "The congregation have once again been so generous, and I know The Children's Society are very grateful for our continued support.

"We want this campaign to have such an impact that the next Prime Minister and Chancellor later this year will be champions for children and young people."

The photo shows the "hands up" stickers that people "bought" for £1 each to cover MP seats!
