Take a pew!

Some possibles for St Andrew's - try them out!
We are working out a programme to refit the church building to help its mission. The work being may include heating, lighting, better accessibility, a toilet for those with disabilities and better seating. It is likely also to include replacing the ceiling plaster in the nave.
As part of this process we are investigating replacing the pews in the nave, though not the chancel, with chairs. This would be more comfortable and give us more flexibility for different services and community events.
Many churches, including St Mary's in Sawston, All Saints' in Harston, and Ely Cathedral now use chairs and they have been widely welcomed by their congregations. Two of the sample chairs we have are the same as the ones used in Ely Cathedral.
We are looking for chairs that can be easily stacked, so we can move them out of the way when necessary. We have been advised to avoid fabric coverings which can be eaten by moths. Some of our existing fabric chairs, the ones that used to be in the Lady Chapel, now look dreadful after the moths got to them.
We would like your feedback on the four chairs we have borrowed. Please try sitting on them, if possible for several minutes, and let us know which you prefer.
And just some pics of other churches and what they have done.
